Improving Our Publication

Evoke Emotions
There are many ways to improve how we evoke emotions, one of the many ways is that we could emphasize the important words to catch the readers attention. This would give the reader a eye catcher with all the small words around it to make it pop out. If the word is an interesting word according to the reader, this may influence the viewer to want to read it to find out. This could also be used as a header with an exclamation point at the end to let the viewer believe that it is a very interesting topic and everyone is talking about it.
What also would help entertain people would be to use the emotions that the reader would feel in the situation. For example, in Austin there is a new school with a bunch of stop signs so now the people dropping off their kids off to school and the people just passing by to go off to work are now becoming late. If we sided with the community on how we need to fix the problem instead of leaving out the door 50 minutes earlier than needed, more people would want to buy or read the newspaper.
Provide Information People Need
The whole reason people buy the newspaper is to find out important stuff about all the things going on in the community or town. If we provide the RIGHT information on both sides of the story, but with emotions on how the viewer would react our publication would be much more successful. If the story is a happy story add a lot of happy words that could help the reader feel that the subject is a successful enjoyable story instead of a whole bunch of dead dictionary words. Although if it is a sad tragic story, do the exact opposite. At the end of the story find a way to help the viewer or reader with a solution that is proved to be useful to the viewer.
